Region members did not elect a representative committee at their Annual General Meeting, so full membership administration and services will be maintained by the National Executive Officers

You may be aware that the Taranaki/Wanganui Region of our Association did not elect a Region Committee at it's recent Annual General Meeting. There are other areas in NZ which also do not have a Regional Executive Committee.
For the purpose of the Constitution these Regions are described as inactive. This means that they are not active as a constituted Region .
Your membership remains fully valid, the difference being one of an administrative nature only. i.e. rather than communicating through a Regional Committee, the National office communicates either through Village delegates if they so elect, or directly with individuals.
From a workload perspective, it is preferable for the National office to communicate with a Regional Executive because it can rely on that group to disseminate information to and from the Region's members. But, village or individual membership remains fully valid.
For a Region to have a delegate on the National Executive, the constitution requires that this person be elected by the Regional Executive and since that has not happened, the representative role for the Taranaki/Wanganui Region has lapsed.
Region members can reconvene and elect a representative Region Executive at any time throughout the year. We encourage you to consider that since there is greater value for you in a membership working together rather than as individuals.
